(Re)Imagining Teaching and Learning Pedagogies and Practices within the Carceral Context
The presentation will focus on three innovative approaches to learning and education in and across the adult and youth carceral context. On one end, we will share our experiences as former teachers for the San Quentin Adult Peer Education Project in which one of us–a now formerly incarcerated juvenile lifer– served as the “inside” teacher and the other two as a volunteer “outside teacher.”
